A Texas Domestic Nonprofit Corporation — Fear Less . . . Love More!

Our Mission

Mission Statement

The mission of Fear Less, Inc. is to serve people in recovery from addiction and their loved ones, by improving their access to quality recovery residences through best evidence-based practices, standards, support services, placement, education, and advocacy.

Who We Are

The Basics

Addiction affects everyone, especially those closest to it. Alongside the person in active addiction, family members and friends also take on additional roles caused by the addiction. Over time, the added stress, emotional fatigue, and financial pressure can lead to resentment, anger, and conflict.

Our weekly Family Recovery meeting (Recovery Oriented Peer Group / ROPG) is open to family or friends who wish to share their experience, strength, and hope in support of a recovery lifestyle.

Fear Less, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, staffed by Peer Recovery Coaches for residents and alumni. Family members also have access to a Peer Recovery Coach who conducts in-person and virtual meetings. Fear Less, Inc. promotes an individual Signature Recovery Plan for each client, and is not organizationally or financially affiliated with Alcoholics Anonymous or Al-Anon, though it supports active participation in 12-step programs.

Our Story

The Beginning

Hearthstone Houses opened its first facility, a sober living house, in 2018. The original house was located on Capri Circle in Houston, Texas, serving individuals who may have delayed seeking treatment due to the high visibility of their professional position or resistance to certain recovery concepts.

Hearthstone Houses' programming is based on NARR (National Alliance for Recovery Residences), TROHN (Texas Recovery Oriented Housing Network), FHA (Fair Housing Act), and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) principles, tailoring the facilities and recovery plan to the residents of our houses.

Hearthstone Houses was founded by a local family who personally experienced the devastating effects of alcoholism, and the positive impact sober living can have on individuals, families, and communities.
